Architecture - Jalan elok house by chang architects
Posted Wednesday, January 21, 2009 by SixSevenEightNine in Labels: ArchitectureSome friends recently asked us about Singapore's architecture. It took a while to think of something but here is something interesting featured in last year's archifest. For us this was a house that signified perhaps Singapore's architecture is not all straitjacketed and generic. Built for less than a million (which earned it an award), the house brought the notion of integration with nature to a new level. What we love most is perhaps the ethereal manifestation of nature on the white washed walls which comes alive as the shadows of plants are casted onto them.
Thank you Thomas.
Beautiful, green and less than a million dollars. Too good to be true?
