Interesting facade for a bike store.
Sarah Wiggleswoth Architects have recently finished a bike parking structure in Bermondsey, London. The structure can store 76 bikes in two levels, using a system designed by bicycle rack producers Josta. It’s easy to see why bikes are all the rage these days. They give you a workout, produce no carbon emission and this 'bike park' is so much better looking than a double storey car park with 76 lots.

Extraordinary pieces with ordiary objects.

Another ordinary office/ art class objects turned into a piece of art. Either with crayon or paper Faur ‘s sensitivity to colour and object is the root of this success.

“In my work, I try to mimic these elegant structures of nature by developing systems of my own with which to express my thoughts and ideas, so that the medium and the message appear as one.
I think of it like a game, with a set of axioms that are established at the outset through the limitations of the material or forms from which the work is constructed, which then dictates what can and cannot be "said" within the boundaries of the chosen medium. This material limitation can also be a strength, as there is the potential to contain thoughts and ideas in unique ways, so that the "medium" can become the "message." This intertwining of form and function can be seen most directly in my most recent work, which is comprised of
crayons and shredded paper.”- Christian Faur

Now you can dry your intimates without bothering your neighbour.
Designed by Alexander Farennikov, the dryer has a very mild infrared heat source that evaporates the moisture after which a silent fan removes them from the bra fabric. It is adjustable just by changing the silicon breast piece which comes in sizes of B to DD. Suggestive as it looks, it wasn't immediately obvious what this gadget was for. We reckon it can be a life saver when one run out of bra. Or perhaps you're the owner of that diamond crusted Victoria Secret bra, then yes it's only befitting to have a dedicated dryer to to ensure that wire frame don't get deformed in your common clothes dryer.

We always have a fascination with compactness or things that seemed smaller than we imagine them to be. Mini Kitchen, like many others, informs us of what the bare essentials in a kitchen are and how everything can be kept away neatly and seamlessly into a box. Boffi first created the Minikitchen in 1964, till today this half a cubic meter mobile box still captures our imagination.

Mitsubishi's advert plays with your eyes.

Loving the way advertisements distort our visual senses in order to convey their message. In this ad, visually similar images are juxtaposed next to one another. These images, one outdoor in the wild and the other in a more human environment, are supposed to convey that the Mitsubishi Montero G2 is suitable for both environments. Although one might not totally understand at one glance, the composition of these images is pretty seamless.

Its times like these when we wish for the presence of target even more.
The Alexander McQueen for Target collection is said to resemble the aesthetic of his younger McQ line. Drawing inspiration from punk singer Leila Moss and The Duke Spirit. Target’s latest collaboration with the British designer is set to hit stores in the US in March. Reminds us of Britain’s Topshop with its punk influence and edgy style.

Window installations by Sky Factory.

The Sky Factory creates illusion of blue skies, landscapes and even of outer space. It's certainly not a cue to design hermetically sealed spaces but one could perhaps imagine it's application in institutions like hospitals or child care centre or certain studio workspaces(like mine). It helps to think of these 'windows' as installations rather than replacements for windows and looking at Yoda, I'll think he would be quite happy to agree with me.

High on our wishlist is this retro spunky player.
It’s refreshing to see a digital music player that looks not like the iPod. NVDRS turned to the cassette tape for inspiration. It would have been a little kitsch should the digital player merely take the form of the cassette tape, but thankfully NVDRS went beyond that. There’s only a play and stop button. To forward or rewind, one needs to physically wound the tape as in old analog radios.
