Solar food heater - Laura Pandelle

6789 applaud the second prize winner of Electrolux Design Lab 07. Designed by Laura Pandelle from France, the solar food heater concept is designed to use spray-on solar cells. An induction heating device is placed at the base and by creating an electromagnetic field between the coil and the metal container, instantaneously heat is transfered. Even on a cloudy day, the spray on solar cells, under development by the University of Toronto, will be sensitive enough. Hopefully it will be available within seven years. Imagine the amount of food you can cook with Singapore's solar power.
