Auto-Cannibalistic Table - Atema Architecture‏

“Why can’t a table eat itself? Tables support food, but why can’t they also be food? The Auto-Cannibalistic table understands that, in nature, energy and matter are in a constant state of transformation, cycling and recycling,” - Atema.
Apart from being a beautiful object, this Auto-Cannablistic Table by Ate Atema has the distinction of invoking serious thoughts as all great designs should. Made from paper egg cartons glued with natural paste (flour, water), soil, and plants, this table questions the co-relationship between permanence and sustainability. The world could be a very different place if things we designed were not intend to last forever.
