If you are stuck with rectilinear spaces in your house and you are dying to live in curvaceous places, here's a trick how.
In this outdoor sculpture garden of straight walls and level ground, a visual illusion of a surface that appears to sink around the tree is achieved. Named Deformscape by architect Thom Faulders, this outdoor extension to a private dwelling is situated in a tightly packed urban neighbourhood in San Francisco. The architect, founder of Faulders Studio, generated a 3-dimensional bulge is formed around the tree, and its distorted wire-grid projected onto a 2-dimensional surface to achieve the resultant pattern.
