When technology, maths and an architect come together.
Furniture by architects is what Lerival is all about. The infinity Bench is designed by Paris based architect Carl Fredrik Svenstedt. This bench / table/ recliner are conceived via mathematics. The rings are serial, concentric hoops like the layers of an onion. Using CNC technology, this piece is cut from lat furniture-grade plywood. The variations in diameter of the rings create a structurally stable, undulating sequence.

Good colourful fun for both kids and adults.
Designer Timothy Liles created these cute looking rings cast in washable crayons. Not to be worn with your best dress to cocktail parties, these rings promise to be messily fun. Thank goodness its washable.

Guggenheim is 50 years old already. Not the Bilbao Titanium sculpture by Gehry but the one in New York by Frank Lloyd Wright. Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation jointly organized the exhibition Frank Lloyd Wright: From Within Outward to commemorate the 50th anniversary of this landmark building and pay tribute to one of the most influential architects of the 20th century. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of this landmark building and pay tribute to the most influential architects of the 20th century. Wondering if this could be a traveling exhibition. (Hint to our friends at Namos)

Pavillion made of recycled materials contributes positively to the environment.

Madrid is getting an interesting addition to its urbanscape in the form of these Air Tree Pavilions designed by Urban Ecosystem. Made from recyclable materials, these pavilions collect solar energy which is then sold back to the local electrical companies. The plants it houses also produces oxygen and filters the surrounding air. While there may be questions about its aesthetic and the applicability in Singapore, this project nonetheless demonstrates the potential of regenerative design where buildings go beyond reducing its carbon footprint and on top of that actually positively contribute to the environment.

Your new alarm clock is a carpet. We would have bought it in a heartbeat. The Alarm clock doubles up as a carpet and requires you to stand on it before it silences. Perhaps it’s best to place this on the other side of the room to prevent you from flopping back down to bed.

LEGO released two of his master pieces designed by Adam Tucker on their architecture series: the Guggenheim Museum (who opened 50 years ago) and the Falling Water House. Not exactly an uncanny resemblance to the original but fun none the less. Can't wait to get our hands on one of these.
