It is not often that we see radical (or any form of) inventions in Singapore's residential housing (The Jalan Elok House is one exception that comes to mind). Most of the times, architects have their hands tied by the multitude of external factors such as clients, authorities and contractors. Formwerkz Architects, while not completely reinventing the housing typology, managed to break out of the cookie-cutter mold for private housing by redefining the ubiquitous sloping roof into a usable space, by creating an inviting timber deck space more commonly seen in parks.Via Formwerkz...
