Dot to Date - the dot to dot calendar from dan usiskin on Vimeo.

We love that designers continues to reinterpret everything things with old childhood memories. We hope Dan will create one version for every major city in the world. It will make for a great gift, don't you think?

Dot to Date is graphic and engaging. It becomes something charming and rewarding, resulting in an object that is kept and shared instead of thrown away. There is also an educational element to it, on the reverse side the designs feature information about each landmark.
Dot to Date, the dot to dot calendar, was designed and produced under the
Hidden Art Select brand. It is 100% recycled and recyclable, printed with water and vegitable based inks.

Making Future Magic: iPad light painting from Dentsu London on Vimeo.

It's not as if we need to give you another reason to get the iPad but we simply couldn't resist posting this stop motion video using the iPad as a light painting brush! Maybe 3D typography isn't exactly what's the iPad was designed for, but it certainly demonstrates how some creativity could turn the (already) ubiquitous iPad into work of art.

What do you get when you add crytopgraphy and architecture? A stunning installation apparently. Dzarch (architecture) & Suchy (crytography) collaborated to create this exciting structure which has potential applications from furniture design to building facades. Using computer simulations and rapid prototyping, the structure, which is made of seemingly random panels on a grid structure, rotates to create alignments that project 3 distinct shadows. Watch the video to see what we mean!

In March this year, Smithsonian, Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum held an exhibition on Rodarte. Showcasing the work of the Mulleavy sister which is more art than fashion. Rodarte excites us like cheese does to mouse; their unique creative process achieves amazing results that makes fashion more than what meets the eye.
The making of any exhibition is a fascinating and complex project. This video gives you a sense of what happened behind the scenes in the run up to the opening of Quicktake: Rodarte. Hear from Kate and Laura Mulleavy, Acting Director Caroline Baumann and Curator Gregory Krum.
