Its all paper. Callesen crafts with paper.
Coming from Demark, this Danish artist doesn’t create works on paper instead he works from paper. Each of his creation is cut from a single piece of paper and removing them just to create a 3d object. These single sheets of paper can be as small as A4 or even bigger than some of our rooms. ‘My paper works have been based around an exploration of the relationship between two and three dimensionality. I find this materialization of a flat piece of paper into a 3d form almost a magic process.’- Callesen states. His detailed works and sense of material definitely captured our sense of wonder.
