Machine crafted beauty.

Michaella Janse van Vuuren is from Pretoria, South Africa. She made this amazing centerpiece (250x250x82mm_ that made us take a second look. We want one!
( *HintHint Jon) Apparently, it is a reversible design that can either function as a bowl or a candle holder depending on which side faces upwards. Taking inspiration from the textures, shapes and patterns found in nature, she interpreted those objects in repetitive mathematically founded pattern. Some other objects that are found on her site is immediately identifiable others more abstract.
Selective laser sintering (SLS) was used to create the chrysanthemum with the EOS P380 using the PA2200 polyamide material.
