“Frank Gehry, has designed mega buildings around the world - seems hard to believe that at the age of 80, the new AGO is this Toronto-born first building in Canada. One of Gehry’s early sources of career inspiration was the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto known as the “Father of Modernism” in Scandinavian countries. To me, Alvar is known as the father of Bent Wood - It would appear that Gehry knows him as that as well.”
